The real magic of our July in Iowa, 🇺🇸 …

Family. It is at the core of this global experience and enjoying that (with the usual ups and downs) is the real magic of July. The video below captures a few of the moments that I am now present for. I am able to video a few snippets AND I am there from start to finish each day. That statement is still a bit of an aspiration as I have been doing consulting work with my employer through July, but it feels closer to reality than it has ever been in the past. The video shows Scarlett and Nora at play in our apartment, the hallway of the apartment community, the ice cream shop with Whitney’s brother and his fiancé and other fun moments. Also below is a list of many of the activities we have done since arriving back in Des Moines, Iowa on Monday July 8 after the weekend in Kansas City, Missouri. It is a longer list than I expected, not sure what the takeaway is from that observation yet!
