Transitions hit home...

We are settling into our AirBnB. It feels good and I think it was a good investment.

We have 2 more days until our house is leased so we are in full cleaning mode. The work of transition is taxing but has gone well. Huge credit for that to the property management company we are with, their vendors have been fantastic. Hope the last two days goes well.

The disruption to the kids is certainly there, just not sure what to make of it yet. So much is the same. The laughs while playing at the playground near our AirBnB, in the backyard etc. Other parts seem to be really different. Scarlett (6 yo) seems to be impacted the most and is sad more often. Seems like she is turning inwards to work through it. Leaves me with a mixture of feelings. One is that this is exactly a benefit of this upcoming experience, it will help her grow and develop and adjust to change. Another is it makes me sad that we are disrupting her world, her community, and making her feel down.

Whitney has been on call at the hospital the past two weeks so it has been doubly crazy. With the house move out wrapping up and Whitney resuming a regular work schedule here is hoping we can support each other and our kids through these next few weeks. Our goal, to fully transition into our global experience mode. Helping Scarlett wrap up her kindergarten year and Whitney finish her last day at work.
