The Ghan: for 🇦🇺 Grandma

Amidst the COVID world we are in we managed to create a family trip for Australia Grandma (Sue).

The goal was being all together and something special for Mum (aka Australia Grandma). We made it happen in the last week of September 2020. Mum and Dad (Sue & Neville), my sister and her family (Mary, Matt and baby Olivia), plus our team (Whitney, Scarlett, Nora, baby Hazel and me).

Matt, Mary and Oliva (4 months old) had just finished two-weeks of isolation in an Adelaide quarantine hotel having returned from London to be with Mum.

In total we were a group of 10 and the itinerary was to fly Adelaide to Darwin, spend 3 nights in Darwin, then travel on The Ghan from Darwin to Adelaide – a 4 day / 3 night train journey.

It was an amazing experience as a family – the video is long so hop, skip and jump through it as you like – the goal is a memory for the kids to see some of the many times they brought joy to Australia Grandma and Grandpa.

A special experience in a cluster of a year.
