Sea Turtles 🐢 Part 1: The Ocean

On Monday August 19, 2019 we did a marine experience with Christian and Carlos. Christian is from Switzerland 🇨🇭 and came to Costa Rica a dozen or more years ago. He ultimately met a girl, stayed and they have a 5 year old daughter who lost her first tooth today while we were on the boat, just a month after Scarlett lost the same first tooth. (Fun fact: in Costa Rica children are visited by the Tooth Mouse after losing a tooth. So much more practical and sustainable than the 🇺🇸/🇦🇺 Tooth Fairy?!?)… He was a fantastic Captain and tour guide. We met at San Juanillo beach and left on the boat from the bay. We spent the morning along the Pacific coastline including the areas of Ostional, San Juanillo and other beaches. It was spectacular. The seas were definitely bobbing us around but everyone had a good time. We saw tons of sea turtles swimming in the ocean, Scarlett caught her first fish, and we learned that unfortunately Scarlett suffers from sea sickness just like her mom🙁.

Hanging out with the Sea Turtles 🐢 off the Ostinal and San Juanillo beaches in Costa Rica was amazing. Incredible animals, they move so fast and gracefully in the water!
